The village quickly disappears and the pilgrim enters a sequence of cultivated fields and small rural tracks that set the general tone of the day. It is a less monumental start than the previous day, but very representative of the agricultural Rioja that accompanies the Way in this area.

· Azofra

The first major point of passage is Azofra, an ancient village of the medieval road between Nájera and Santo Domingo. For today’s pilgrim, moreover, it continues to be a very useful stop before facing the more open section toward Cirueña.

In Azofra stands out the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, which the La Rioja diocese today maintains as an active parish of the village.
