Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe, with 1.5 million inhabitants and 2,000 years of history. The center of Porto is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
After a short break we will visit the historic center of the city, including a visit to a famous Port wine cellar for a wine tasting, after which we will have a lively typical Portuguese dinner with Fados.

After breakfast we will depart to the Douro region famed for its terraced vineyards and for being one of the oldest and most prestigious wine regions in the world, and known especially for the production of Port wines, as well as for its still wines.
We will visit several wineries in the area where we will taste several wines, with lunch included, the historic center of Amarante / Peso da Régua, the Pinhao train station and we will take a ride in Rabelo on the Douro River.
Return to Oporto

Today we start our particular Camino de Santiago sealing our pilgrim credential at the Cathedral of Porto. We will walk along the Ribeira and continue following the course of the Douro River to its mouth, arriving in Matosinhos.
Lunch in a typical restaurant.
Transfer to Ponte de Lima where it is said that the Kingdom of Portugal emerged; hence this beautiful village is known as the oldest village in Portugal.
Visit to the Paço de Calheiros with a visit to the vineyards and a tasting of its famous Vinhos verdes.

After breakfast we will move to the beautiful village of Afife to start our walk along the Portuguese Coastal Trail to the town of Caminha.

Today we go into the interior of Galicia and we will move to the wonderful town of Ribadavia, this town, capital of O Ribeiro, occupies the confluence of the rivers Avia and Miño, on the way between Ourense and Vigo. The surrounding landscape is of river valleys, vineyards and gentle hills.
Visit to DO Ribeiro wineries and lunch.
Return to the city of Pontevedra.

Today we will do our beloved Camino de Santiago by boat along the Ruta Traslatio or maritime-river Xacobean Route, through the sea of Arousa and the Ulla River that commemorates the arrival to Galicia, by sea, of the body of the Apostle Santiago the Great.
